No. Given the scrutiny placed on Einstein’s theory, to call it anything less does not invoke a reaction. In the past I have tried to call it an “inconsistency” or a “problem.” In order to get the right response from the broader audience, I have to call it a mistake. Like Newton before him, Einstein has made significant contributions to modern physics. However, this does not negate that fact that he made independently verifiable mathematical mistakes in his derivations. Identifying them is in no way disrespectful. This is simply another opportunity for us to extend our knowledge about space and time.
By saying that Einstein made a mistake, aren’t you being disrespectful?
